2 of my best experiences you ask?

I’ve had many highlights since becoming a paparazzi photographer. In all honesty, I can’t even remember all of my favourite moments or all of the celebrities but I do remember some of the most important or exciting nights I’ve had.

Sir Trevor McDonald

The night I photographed Sir Trevor McDonald was a huge accomplishment for me for many reason, not only was I was invited/requested personally to take photos at the BEFFTA awards in 2012. I talked my way into getting a spare ticket and took my mum to the high profile event. This was the first time my mum saw me at work as a pap. Of course I had shown her pictures I had taken but this was the first time she saw me live in action. Having my mum see me was only half of the highlight however. For most of the event (when I wasn’t running around) I was seated a few seats away from Sir Trevor McDonald. I got exclusive photos of Trevor as soon as his name was announced as the winner of the BEFFTA Lifetime award.

Carla Delavigne

This has to one of my most exciting pap experiences to date.. Lets just start with two words. CAR CHASE. It was around 11pm and I was on my Ped (aka ‘The Papmobile”) riding through Chelsea after photographing a celebrity and I got a call saying I need to be at Harrods in the next minute for Carla Delavigne. I instantly said, ill be there and drover as fast as possible to get there. I got the Harrods at the same time as most of the paps I knew and they updated me on what’s happening. The security guards at started locking the doors. Instantly, we all started running to the other doors to see if they were locked. After we checked to see if the doors were locked, it looked like we had robbed Harrods the way everyone jumped into their cards or jumped onto the Mopeds and drove to the car park of Harrods. Within 20seconds of me arriving at the exit door, Carla walked out of the back door and went into her car and drove off. None of the pap was happy because all if not most of the paps didn’t get any good pictures so it was time for round 2.There was around 15 vehicles that tailed Carla’s car and followed her around Knightsbridge. I felt like I was in a movie, driving around chasing a car that was driving 50mph on 30mph roads. She eventually drove to her house after circling 4/5 times.  As soon as she parked her car, we all jumped off our ped not caring if the engines were still running or if the ped was in the middle of a road and started photographing Carla. I had an insane rush after this chase; I felt like I was the “real deal” and since then, have been in several car chases... Maybe ill do a post on my top 15 car chases soon.. haha
